The Federal Australian Government developed two Codes of Practice the CODE OF PRACTICE FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL OF ASBESTOS IN WORKPLACES [NOHSC: 2018 (2005)] and the CODE OF PRACTICE FOR THE SAFE REMOVAL OF ASBESTOS [NOHSC:2002(1988)]

The Australian Government has implemented a nationwide objective in the management and safety of asbestos. ALL States and Territories have adopted the Codes of Practice. However, State Legislation, practices and procedures do vary in States and Territories.

It is imperative that AARMS advise you on the correct LEGAL requirements for your State.
